Who is this for?
Homeowners upgrading from battery-only alarms, landlords meeting legal obligations for rental properties, and anyone renovating or extending a home.
Signs you need this
- Your current alarms are battery-only and older than 10 years
- You are letting a property and need interlinked alarms on each floor
- You are renovating, extending, or converting a loft
- A recent EICR or fire risk assessment flagged missing detection
- You want the reassurance of kitchen heat detection without false alarms
What is included
- Survey to work out the correct grade and category of system for your home
- Supply and installation of mains-powered alarms with sealed battery backup
- Interlinking so any alarm triggers all alarms, wired or radio-linked
- Placement in line with BS 5839-6, usually landings, hallways, and kitchens
- Commissioning test and BS 5839-6 certificate on completion
How it works
- 1Tell us how many floors and rooms, and whether the property is a let.
- 2We recommend the right grade of system. Most London homes are Grade D1 or D2.
- 3Install takes a few hours to a full day depending on how many alarms and whether we use wired or radio interlink.
- 4Handover includes a test, a certificate, and the user manuals.

What Our Customers Say
Power went out at 11pm on a Sunday. Called Capital Electrician and someone was at my door within 45 minutes. Turned out to be a faulty connection in the consumer unit. Fixed on the spot. Could not ask for more.
Sarah M.
Ealing
Needed an EICR for my rental flat before the new tenants moved in. Booked for the following week, electrician arrived on time, and I had the certificate emailed to me the same day. Simple and professional.
James T.
Islington
Had our 1930s house fully rewired. It was a big job and they were upfront about the disruption, but the team worked tidily and finished a day ahead of schedule. The new consumer unit is a big improvement on the old fuse box.
