Electrical work in Fulham

Covering SW6 and the streets around them.

Much of Fulham is terraced-house country. Moore Park, near Stamford Bridge, was laid out in the 1850s and is the earliest estate development in Fulham, according to the council, and Parsons Green is mainly Victorian terraces. In the 2021 census, 44 per cent of households in Parsons Green and Sandford ward lived in terraced houses, while in Fulham Town and Munster wards nearly a third lived in converted flats.

Many of those terraces have been extended into the loft and out at the back, sometimes more than once, and each project can add circuits to an old board rather than replacing it. That's usually the moment a consumer unit upgrade makes sense, with RCD protection across the installation and spare capacity for the future. Near the river, Hurlingham adds mansion blocks such as Hurlingham Court and Rivermead Court, as well as the 1950s Sulivan Court estate.

Sands End is changing fastest. King's Road Park, on the site of the old Fulham gasworks with a gasholder thought to be the oldest in the world, is bringing more than 1,800 homes with air source heat pumps and solar panels. New flats like these rarely need rewiring, but people do want extra sockets, lighting changes and data points. We also cover shops and restaurants along Fulham Road, North End Road and New King's Road, from LED lighting upgrades to PAT testing and fault finding.

Landlords in Fulham

Hammersmith and Fulham requires additional HMO licences borough-wide and runs selective licensing on 24 named streets, several of them in Fulham. For homes on those streets, the council's standards expect a satisfactory EICR, less than five years old, at the start of every tenancy.
