Who is this for?

Homeowners, tenants, landlords, and small businesses dealing with a tripping circuit, a dead socket, a faulty switch, or a light fitting that has packed up. Whole-house wiring investigations are outside our current scope, tell us what you have noticed and we will let you know straight away if it is the right fit.

Signs you need this

  • A circuit breaker or RCD keeps tripping without obvious cause
  • One or more sockets have stopped working or feel warm
  • A light fitting or switch has stopped working
  • You can hear buzzing or humming from a switch, socket, or consumer unit
  • An appliance keeps blowing fuses when plugged in

What is included

  • Systematic diagnosis at the fitting, switch, socket, or consumer unit
  • Identification of the root cause, not just the symptom
  • Repair on the same visit where parts allow
  • Replacement of damaged sockets, switches, or light fittings
  • Honest next steps if the fault sits deeper in the wiring than we can reach today

How it works

  1. 1Describe the problem to us over the phone or online. The more detail, the better.
  2. 2We visit and carry out a structured diagnosis, testing circuits and components methodically.
  3. 3Once we find the fault, we explain what is wrong and what it will cost to fix.
  4. 4We carry out the repair, test the circuit, and confirm everything is working safely.

Certification on Completion

All fault finding and repair work is carried out by NICEIC-registered electricians in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).

What Our Customers Say

Power went out at 11pm on a Sunday. Called Capital Electrician and someone was at my door within 45 minutes. Turned out to be a faulty connection in the consumer unit. Fixed on the spot. Could not ask for more.

Emergency Electrician

Needed an EICR for my rental flat before the new tenants moved in. Booked for the following week, electrician arrived on time, and I had the certificate emailed to me the same day. Simple and professional.

EICR & Electrical Certificates

Had our 1930s house fully rewired. It was a big job and they were upfront about the disruption, but the team worked tidily and finished a day ahead of schedule. The new consumer unit is a big improvement on the old fuse box.
