EICR Electrical Certificates in London
If you are letting a property, selling one, or you simply have not had the wiring checked in years, an EICR tells you what condition the installation is actually in. We test every circuit, code what we find, and if something needs fixing we can quote for it and retest without bringing in another firm.

Certificates Issued
On completion
Who is this for?
Landlords who need a valid certificate before a tenancy starts, homeowners buying or selling, and anyone whose last inspection was more than five years ago. We cover houses and flats across every Greater London borough.
Signs you need this
- Your last EICR was more than 5 years ago or you have never had one
- You are letting a property and need to comply with landlord regulations
- You are buying, selling, or remortgaging and the lender requires a certificate
- You have noticed flickering lights, warm sockets, or other signs of electrical wear
- Your insurance provider has requested an up-to-date electrical certificate
What is included
- Full visual inspection and testing of the electrical installation
- Testing of all circuits, sockets, switches, and protective devices
- Detailed report with observations coded C1, C2, C3, or FI
- Clear explanation of any faults found and what needs fixing
- Official EICR certificate issued on completion
How it works
- 1Book a convenient time. We will let you know roughly how long the inspection will take based on the size of your property.
- 2Our electrician inspects and tests the full installation, circuit by circuit.
- 3You receive a detailed EICR report, either satisfactory or unsatisfactory with coded observations.
- 4If remedial work is needed, we can quote and carry it out, then retest and issue an updated certificate.
Certification on Completion
All EICRs are carried out by NICEIC-registered electricians and comply with BS 7671. Domestic reports are valid for 5 years, or at each change of tenancy for rented property, whichever comes first.
What Our Customers Say
Power went out at 11pm on a Sunday. Called Capital Electrician and someone was at my door within 45 minutes. Turned out to be a faulty connection in the consumer unit. Fixed on the spot. Could not ask for more.
Sarah M.
Ealing
Needed an EICR for my rental flat before the new tenants moved in. Booked for the following week, electrician arrived on time, and I had the certificate emailed to me the same day. Simple and professional.
James T.
Islington
Had our 1930s house fully rewired. It was a big job and they were upfront about the disruption, but the team worked tidily and finished a day ahead of schedule. The new consumer unit is a big improvement on the old fuse box.
